With macOS Mojave, Apple gave a dark makeover to it's existing design language. However just by reading reviews of - especially about iTunes - It feels like many people still don't like the way macOS handles navigation elements.

The old iTunes design still houses many old parts, while it doesn't really show new and exciting parts of Apple Music. In this design exploration I tried to minimalize essential navigation elements, make them more spacious and easy to understand, while borrowing new design cues from iOS 12.
